Why Akathleptos?

Why Akathleptos? Because it means Uncontainable. God is infinite. Hence, the whole universe cannot contain Him. The term also refers to the incomprehensibility of God. No man can know everything about God. We can know Him personally but not exhaustively, not even in Heaven.

Why Patmos? Because the church is increasingly marginalized and exiled from the culture.

Why Pen-Names? So the focus is on the words and not who wrote them. We prefer to let what we say stand on its own merit. There is precedent in church history for this - i.e., the elusive identity of Ambrosiaster who wrote in the 4th century A.D.

“Truth is so obscured nowadays, and lies so well established, that unless we love the truth we shall never recognize it." Blaise Pascal

Mirroring A Great Cosmic Conflict In The Heavenlies

Economist Martin Armstrong warns on his web site here that the United States is heading towards civil war because of the refusal of out-of-touch elite Washington politicians to acknowledge reality.

"They think this ‘populism’ is over with [French president Emmanuel] Macron’s victory in France so it’s time to get rid of Trump and it will all be OK again ..... I have never seen such an all out effort on a massive coordinated effort to reject the people’s demand for reform,” he wrote. “This is HIGHLY dangerous for we can very well move toward civil war.” (bold-face emphasis is in the original.)

"Our model also warns that [the] United States can break up as a result of this by 2032-2040 ..... There is a very REAL plot to overthrow Trump, led by the political establishment and aided by the mainstream press,”

He also warns here that the press may be sowing the seed of their own destruction:

... in the good old days, as they say, when the people rose up in revolution they went after those in government or the bankers. In Florence, during the 14th century they stormed the palaces of the bankers and burned them to the ground. Shakespeare wrote of one revolution saying during the 15th century in  Henry VI, Part2, Act IV, Scene 2:  “The first thing we do is kill all the [king’s] lawyers [prosecutors].”  This time, they may include the press who seem to be conspiring against the people in the very same manner if not even worse.

For now, the United States is currently the most powerful nation on the planet and Washington D.C. is the seat of that incredible power. But per the axiom that "power corrupts", the vast majority of Washington elites and media (both conservative and liberal) have been sucked up into the twin delusions (1) that they know what is best and (2) that the world revolves around them. At heart, the problem is that they jettisoned truth and substituted their own man-made version. Living in a fantasy, they are figuratively fiddling while Rome burns. Soon though, the conflagration initiated by their foolishness will be beyond even their ability and resources to extinguish. Barring supernatural national repentance and reform, we have probably already crossed the event horizon and are heading towards disaster.

We need to keep perspective though. The unrest, violence and gathering turmoil on Earth mirrors a great cosmic conflict in the Heavenlies between good and evil (i.e., Daniel 10:12-14; Revelation 12, Isaiah 14:12-14, Ezekiel 28:12-17.) As the Heavenly clash intensifies and nears final resolution, so too will the earthly battle between truth/falsehood and good/evil, reach fever pitch.

But there is shelter from the coming storm ...

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. (2 Tim 3:12-15)
