Why Akathleptos?

Why Akathleptos? Because it means Uncontainable. God is infinite. Hence, the whole universe cannot contain Him. The term also refers to the incomprehensibility of God. No man can know everything about God. We can know Him personally but not exhaustively, not even in Heaven.

Why Patmos? Because the church is increasingly marginalized and exiled from the culture.

Why Pen-Names? So the focus is on the words and not who wrote them. We prefer to let what we say stand on its own merit. There is precedent in church history for this - i.e., the elusive identity of Ambrosiaster who wrote in the 4th century A.D.

“Truth is so obscured nowadays, and lies so well established, that unless we love the truth we shall never recognize it." Blaise Pascal

"The bottom of the barrel has been located"

The article here in the UK's Guardian postulates that television has reached the bottom of the barrel with the rise of "naked" dating shows - "a terrible new dawn, where desirability is judged by genitalia."

...Unless ITVBe surprises everyone by commissioning a series where two crying strangers are forced to have sex at gunpoint in a dungeon, that’s it. The bottom of the barrel has been located.

Cultural "entertainment" is but a reflection of its ethics and morality. Widespread moral decay is one of the key signposts of the approaching end of age. An epidemic of pornography, crime, terrorism, political corruption, greed, moral relativism, illegal drugs, homosexuality, gender confusion and moral degeneracy are overwhelming both America and much of the rest of the world. Suicide is fast becoming a popular solution for many. Ultimately, nothing short of the second coming of Christ will stem the tide of surging evil now engulfing the world.
