Why Akathleptos?

Why Akathleptos? Because it means Uncontainable. God is infinite. Hence, the whole universe cannot contain Him. The term also refers to the incomprehensibility of God. No man can know everything about God. We can know Him personally but not exhaustively, not even in Heaven.

Why Patmos? Because the church is increasingly marginalized and exiled from the culture.

Why Pen-Names? So the focus is on the words and not who wrote them. We prefer to let what we say stand on its own merit. There is precedent in church history for this - i.e., the elusive identity of Ambrosiaster who wrote in the 4th century A.D.

“Truth is so obscured nowadays, and lies so well established, that unless we love the truth we shall never recognize it." Blaise Pascal

We are rapidly approaching the credibility of the North Korean government which lives in a delusional world of its own making

More than four months after a black-clad loner with an Islamist-themed manifesto and a printed ISIS flag in his backpack stabbed four people on a California college campus, the FBI wrapped up its investigation Thursday by saying “it may never be possible to definitively determine” what motivated the bloody rampage.

Story is here.
*******

Unquestionably, there is tremendous pressure from the top in the form of a President who cannot even bring himself to say the words "Islamic terrorism." But - shame on those within the FBI who capitulate to the pressure from above. They stand complicit with everyone that refuses to acknowledge the reality of the threat that inevitably results in more death and destruction. In so doing, the U.S. government is rapidly approaching the credibility of the North Korean government which lives in a delusional world of its own making.
