Why Akathleptos?

Why Akathleptos? Because it means Uncontainable. God is infinite. Hence, the whole universe cannot contain Him. The term also refers to the incomprehensibility of God. No man can know everything about God. We can know Him personally but not exhaustively, not even in Heaven.

Why Patmos? Because the church is increasingly marginalized and exiled from the culture.

Why Pen-Names? So the focus is on the words and not who wrote them. We prefer to let what we say stand on its own merit. There is precedent in church history for this - i.e., the elusive identity of Ambrosiaster who wrote in the 4th century A.D.

“Truth is so obscured nowadays, and lies so well established, that unless we love the truth we shall never recognize it." Blaise Pascal

"These men are a rare breed and live to confront the wolf"

Few could have imagined in 2008 with Barack Obama's election, the breathtaking speed with which his administration (true to his word) would "transform" America. Signaling our culture's accelerating descent into debauchery, an online dating service now offers the capability for users to hook up with multiple partners. The site The site offers a dozen sexual orientation options, including “asexual,” “demisexual,” “heteroflexible,” “homoflexible,” “pansexual,” and “sapiosexual.” (A user can select up to five to describe his or her orientation.) It also offers 22 gender options, including but not limited to “androgynous,” “genderfluid,” “intersex,” “pangender,” “two spirit,” and “other.”

Last week the dating website OKCupid rolled out a new feature for polyamorous people who may already be married but want to find another partner.

“Monogamy ain’t for everyone,” said a Friday Tweet from the site. “Now people in polyamorous relationships can link their OkCupid accounts.” The new feature is called “Couples Linking,” and it allows people who identify as “married,” “seeing someone,” or “in an open relationship” to find new individuals with whom to have relationships.

“We saw a need coming from current users in non-monogamous relationships and we identified that there was a trend towards more openness, and even curiosity, regarding non-monogamous and open relationships,” said Jimena Almendares, OKCupid’s chief product officer, according to “Time” magazine.

OkCupid decided to add the new feature after noticing that 24 percent of their users said they are “seriously interested” in group sex, while 42 percent said they would consider dating someone already in a relationship.

Story is here.

*******

America now is exactly what the majority clamored for - mob rule with a lawless culture descending into debauchery and barbarity that increasingly preys upon the helpless and weak with frightening ferocity and savagery. Having cast overboard the anchor of truth this country was founded upon, our political leadership is impotent for the most part as the culture is "tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes" (Eph 4:14)

God help us and raise up spiritually strong, moral giants who are not afraid to confront the wolf first and foremost both spiritually and morally ... but also physically when necessary to protect innocent life.
